Browsing local CL and came across this BR-Z...what a shame. 800 miles on the clock and already has a salvage title.

Kinja'd!!!

Fun to drive with OVER 200HP and lots of extras! (like a salvage title!!!)

Safe driving over the holiday weekend, Oppo.

“Pictures of the accident are available.” That’s what everybody wants to see! And they go and post this shit?

I once bought a car that was in an accident that wasn’t listed on the title. It cost me $1000 to put in a new steering rack.

So yeah, don’t buy cars that ACTUALLY have a salvage title.

lol that’s almost 20% more miles than promised. I’d negotiate a 20% discount on that.

Jeez, that sounds horrible. Previous owner just had it cheaply repaired under the table?

It is a shame, but.... the ability to obtain subprime financing and the ability to drive with any more dexterity than your average howler monkey being fed a diet of moonshine and bath salts is NOT mutually exclusive.

Nah, from what I can collect, some guy brought it up from California in 2010, and hit something (probably while sliding on ice). He then sold the car cheap to this Puerto Rican mechanic that hoarded dissassembled RX7S in a warehouse. The mechanic repaired all the body work, but was trying to start a used car dealership, so he needed to clear the junk out of his shop. Which is when I found the Integra on Craigslist. Since it was from CA, and had been sitting indoors for 5 years, the body/undercarraige were immaculate, and I bought it because of that.

A crumpled fender under the hood told me it had previously hit something, but everything looked to have been purely cosmetic (prior to the repairs).

However, when I started digging deeper, I found that the steering rack had been jarred loose, and was moving around all over the place. Couldn’t repair the bad bushings, so I had to have a refurished new one put in. I give the seller the benefit of the doubt, because the car came with locking wheel nuts and no key. Which means that the seller had never removed the wheels. Otherwise, he would have noticed a bad tie rod boot, which would have then lead him to the rack.

Wow, doesn’t sound sketchy at all.

Also I don’t know why more people don’t take pictures of pictures on computer screens. Really gives a nice effect that no instagram filter can quite capture.
